These are programs I’ve written for Paltalk for Desktop on the PC. Two of the programs require an auxiliary program (ReadRoom) to run. None of the programs require installation. Requirements are noted below. If you have any questions you can contact me on Paltalk at the above nic.

ReadRoom. ReadRoom mirrors the Paltalk room and a couple of other programs that need to read the Paltalk room make use of it. However ReadRoom can be used alone too if you just want an extended record of what happens in the room. Programs that use it: DavidsTriviaBot, PalGreeter

Version .9: PaltalkReadRoomDistrib.zip

Version 1.0 ReadRoom-4-21-NoScrollCheck.exe (4/21 – New version that might be more stable than .9. no Doc included, use .9 documentation. This is the version I’m using in Oracle Trivia.)

DavidsTriviaBot is a simple trivia program that is easy to set up and use. It makes use of ReadRoom so make sure you grab ReadRoom with it. It is a subset of what I use in my trivia room.

Version 3/5/2023: DavidsTriviaBotDistrib.zip

PalGreeter is a basic room greeter that will print a welcome to the room message whenever someone enters the room. It requires ReadRoom to run.

PalGreeterDistrib.zip

77Scorer is a scorer for live trivia rooms involving competition between 2 teams. It keeps track of the score for each team and prints scores in the room.

77Scorer-2.3.zip

PalMicTimer is a mic timer for a room. It keeps track of how long someone has been on mic and will print periodic messages in the room on how long the person has spent on mic.

MicTimerPal.zip Version 1.1. (4/9/2024)

ManageRoom is a small program that is mainly useful for admins in busy rooms. It will 1. Log the changing state of the Mic queue, 2. Print up to 3 mic time exceeded warning messages in the room, 3. allow one to quickly dot and undot a person on mic.
